Director of Demand Planning

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage purchasing requirement planning by assessing sales projections, inventory levels, and fulfilling actual sales order needs.Manage excess and obsolete inventoryInterface with marketing, Packaging, Product Development, and Purchasing Departments in facilitating problem resolution, ensuring adherence to product launch and end of life timetableMaintain company goals for inventory levels and turnsProvide leadership on internal and external business integration. Work closely with functional areas to define system objectives, document business requirements, and create specification.Hire, train, and develop demand planning staffConduct CPFR (Collaborative Planning Forecasting and Replenishment) meeting with selected customersPresent fill rate, forecast accuracy, lead time, order completeness and other relevant metrics to management and selected customersAnalyze historical demand patterns and improve accuracy of future forecasts using systematic forecasting toolsPerform other tasks assigned by management

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:APICS certification required with total theoretical and practical comprehension of all facets of supply chain management. BS/BA with 5 years related experience or MBA with 2 years related experience
