Director of Logistics
A West Coast Regional Distributor seeks a Logistics Director who will report to the Vice President of Supply Chain and will be responsible for:
- managing regional transportation lanes expanding into a National presence
- negotiating rates and service levels
- forwarding Logistics planning and delivery
- motivating others and establishing challenging team/individual goals
- creating company owned transportation service to work with existing 3PL organization
- ability to create LRP in conjunction with existing distribution network and beyond
Job Requirements:
- 5-10 years Logistics management experience with a proven record of positive growth and excellent service level
- involvement in inventory planning, purchasing or related experiences
- strong leadership skills with proven ability in coaching and developing others
- knowledge/responsibility of P & L
- multiple facility experience
- Bachelors degree preferred
