Currently we are looking for a Logistics Analyst to join our Logistics department.

 

 

General Overview:

 

The Logistics Analyst supports the Domestic Logistics Team, which is responsible for the distribution of goods within the U.S, including inbound from domestic vendors, outbound to stores, and direct-to-consumer. The Logistics Analyst will develop and analyze financial reports and performance metrics, on weekly, monthly and ad-hoc basis. The Logistics Analyst will also develop financial and operational models to evaluate various logistics initiatives, working with internal partners to assess full supply chain impact and viability.

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

 

? Analyze financial impact of proposed and/or newly implemented logistics initiatives

? Develop transportation budget and track performance against budget throughout the year

? Generate weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc reporting and analysis of transportation costs and operational metrics

? Provide assistance to Accounting in all financial matters regarding transportation, including month end close process.

? Develop, generate and analyze reports to measure service levels and to identify trends

? Evaluate shifts in store transfer patterns and evaluate fiscal and operational impact

? Generate analyses of direct-to-consumer delivery program and evaluate shipping costs/cost recovery for new skus





? Ensure reliability and accuracy of data and request corrective measures, as necessary, from external and internal data providers

? Participate in team meetings to identify problems and suggest performance improvements



 

Job Requirements:

 

? 3 years minimum experience performing true analytical functions, preferably in a logistics / supply chain environment

? Intermediate to advanced skills using both Excel and Access required. Ability to develop and maintain complex data bases

? Strong analytical ability, including the ability to evaluate information and to translate concepts into financial / operational models

?   Possess basic knowledge and understanding of business finance/accounting

? Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to succeed in a cross functional working environment



? BS degree in Logistics or International Business, preferred
