MGR WAREHOUSE

SUMMARY OF POSITION: Assist Facility manager with operation of a 360,000 sq. ft. distribution center. Responsibilities include safety, staffing, training, and managing labor relations thru 3rd party contract labor agreement. Also responsible for productivity and quality measurements, facility lay-out, inventory control, procurement of supplies and materials and security of the building. Facility must be in compliance with OSHA, FDA, Tyco Healthcare Corporate Quality Assurance and Factory Mutual policies, procedures, and requirements.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1.Observe all safety precautions and regulations at all times in all areas where duties are performed. Responsible for reporting, managing and reducing all safety hazards and potential unsafe working conditions.
2.Understanding and administrating of all current corporate policies and procedures.
3.Daily decisions of production, labor placement, workforce headcount requirements; scheduling of work flow, and production, systems used; quality management and measurement, process improvement. Customer orders must ship same day to meet strict customer lead-time requirements.
4.Receive, store, and ship on time and accurate to assist the continuous replenishment of customer demand.
5.Maintain outside customer operations at the highest profit level.
6.Security of Assets. Heavy responsibility and decision making for warehouse procedures for the organization and security of both our inventory and physical assets.
7.The proper storage of stock for the most economical, efficient, and accurate receiving, shipping, and rotation of stock; maximizing the utilization of space available.
8.Implement, maintain, conduct and report cycle count program.
9.Modify, correct and improve inventory accuracy.
10.All aspects of housekeeping
11.Maintain and contract repairs for all warehouse equipment and purchasing.
12.Assist in establishing operating budgets and direct operations to obtain cost savings to budgets.
13.Work with and cooperate with all departments within our company as required. Maintain outside contracts and relationships as necessary in the fulfillment of this job.
14.Initiate special studies as needed and assist in implementing decisions resulting from these studies.
15.Is responsible for the operation of the distribution center, to include all operations and physical plant.
16.Fiscal responsibility.
17.Development of all direct reports. Must demonstrate passion for leadership by example.



Requirements:

Education: BS Degree in Business, Finance, Logistics.
Experience:Minimum of 5 years of management experience preferably in distribution environment.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Demonstrated excellent listening, verbal and written communication.
Must have ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of information in written, oral and diagram formats.
Must interact well with associates at all levels.
Requires ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously with constant interruption, often under pressure; must be flexible to changes in priorities.
Must be able to work independently.
Must be open to travel
Flexible work hours required.
Skills/Competencies: Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be creative, forward thinking and analytical.
Other Skills:Must be able to speak, read and write professionally the English language
Must possess strong computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, JDE, Legacy mainframe systems, SAP, MS Project.
