Night Area Service Manager

The Area Service Manager ( ASM ) is responsible for their areas service, load execution and assets management. Through effective load assignment the ASM is to positively impact driver and box utilization while controlling costs, and contributing to the safety of our drivers and the public. The ASM is to support the Operations Service Manager and both internal and external customers through good communication and show leadership in building relationships that result in cooperation and trust.

There are two shifts available:

Shift one Hours:

Sunday- Thursday overnights 2100-0600 with Friday/Saturday off

Shift two Hours:

Thurs 1700-0500

Fri 1700-0500

Sat 1530-0030

Sun 1700-0500

 

4 year college degree with a minimum of 2.7 GPA or previous management experience or 3 years at JB Hunt

Contingent upon a reference verification and subject to a pre-employment drug screen

 

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. Be able to type at least 30 wpm and effectively operate in a PC environment with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel or comparable software.

2. Be able to make good informed decisions.

3. Be able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees as well as customers.

4. Be able to manage periodic high levels of stress that are related to the job.

5. Be able to research and solve problems with little supervision and work under constant deadlines.
