Logistics Manager

Entry to intermediate level of professional scheduling with responsibility for the technical aspects for overall coordination of materials, labor, and machine schedules for a production operation.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

?  Revises schedule daily according to work order specifications, established priorities, and availability or capability of workers, parts, materials, machines, and equipment.

?  Produces production schedules for various product lines, initiates work orders, and establishes priorities for specific customer orders

?  Coordinates manufacturing capabilities and capacities with inventory planning and sales execution.

?  Responsible for product work orders, cradle to grave.

?  Prepares and maintains a schedule of forecasted sales.

?  Participates in the contract review process to assist in determination of acceptability of customer requested delivery dates.

?  Maintains system planning parameters per established processes.

?  Serves as an effective conduit for information sharing among all of the functional segments of the organization for capacity requirements and material needs. 

?  Audits departmental material movements (WIP).

?  Coordinates scheduling activities with other staff.

?  Will compile, store, and retrieve production data, using computer.

?  Produces production schedules for complex product lines, initiates work orders, and establishes priorities for specific customer orders.

?  Reports to management monthly status of schedule of forecasted sales.

?  As part of the contract review process, establishes and commits a ship date that is acceptable to both CEi and the customer.

?  Recommends improvements to the ERP system for process enhancement.

 

Typical Qualifications Include:

?  Bachelor?s degree in related field.

?  Some related experience preferably in an aerospace composites environment.

?  Detailed understanding of manufacturing environments and processes.

?  Fluency in MS Office.

?  Effective written and verbal communications.

?  Professional interpersonal style and effective organization skills are essential.

?  Training and experience with ERP/MRP and JIT/LEAN preferred. 

?  APICS certification a plus.
