Production Scheduler/ Planner

Candidate will effectively control the releasing, assignment, and prioritizing of all production, rework, rejected hardware, Kanban material and consignment inventory as necessary to meet customer deliveries. Will be accountable for meeting production schedules when material is in their control; Giving promise to stock or ship dates based on process knowledge; Perform all necessary scheduling of production and rework orders with a minimum of supervision; Use all available computer reports, work order shortage audits, matrix, and RPAD to effectively schedule area and assembly to meet production stock dates; Based on knowledge of work centers capacity, load machines and areas, make work order splits when necessary and recommend personnel movement to accommodate schedules; Work closely with purchasing, team leaders, employees, internal/external suppliers and to be a team player in any departmental issues; Review A.O.R.?s with raw stock and stockroom personnel to prioritize work orders that should be filled ahead of others; Request work order releases prior to release dates to help level load the department; Coordinate with other production coordinators, schedulers, and dispatchers on jobs arriving or leaving their area to meet production schedules; Request overtime requirements to supervision and management as to overtime needed to make scheduled stock dates; Be responsible for all work orders released and working within their areas; also, quality and routing changes notices from production planning or manufacturing chares; Responsible for giving all promise dates required for monthly shipments and to support production meetings; Must be able to perform the duties normally assigned to schedulers, production dispatchers, productions control clerks, and production material clerk; Review all work order release attention lists for their assigned area and request the release of production work orders to properly load the assembly/machines with job per schedule and economical lot sizing; Create and maintain any specific matrix or reports used for the purpose of meeting customer schedule and/or tracking hardware; Work closely with manufacturing engineering personnel as well as quality personnel to set priorities for production parts in process as well as rejected parts; Create and maintain reports required for other areas for the purpose of process improvement Verify and maintain all work orders per B/P revision and follow all work instructions as required.

Requirements:  Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent amount of experience; Minimum of five to ten years experience in production control using Oracle MRP system; Five years experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and Access); Familiarity with the assembly process; Strong communication, organizational and oral presentation skills; Technical writing skills; Ability to work in a team environment.
