This position requires leadership abilities to a team of import specialist/associate specialist.  Must be able to conduct meetings and ensure team goals and projects are achieved according to established guidelines, procedures, and policies.  Will be required to conduct meetings with various carriers to discuss any service failures and problems pertaining to cargo movement and compliance.  Will be required involvement to act as liaison for import operations to the sales group, Legal Counsel, and various Sony Logistics Overseas Groups.

 

This position also requires knowledge of carrier’s service contracts.  Daily data entry, review all import documentation and forms for accuracy, completeness and compliance prior to submission to customs broker is also required. 

 

Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in international import/export field.  Computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook are required.  Logistics knowledge and experience in handling US Customs and other government agencies is preferred.  Transportation knowledge preferred.  Bi-Lingual in Japanese preferred.
