Supply Chain Business Manager, Korean speaking

Essential Functions and Duties:
Plan, organize and control the business/contracts/negotiations for the strategic acquisition of materials and services of a technical or contractual nature. Will be a member of a cross-functional supplier management group responsible to analytically formulate and execute comprehensive supply management strategies.

1. Serve as Team Leader for most Supplier Global Agreement negotiations, renegotiations and contract addendums. Negotiate performance-based, preferred supplier agreements, to provide incentive for continuous supplier improvement. Advise commodity team leader on strategic plans.
2. Define metrics and monitor supplier performance against these expectations to ensure continuous supplier improvement. Regularly evaluate quality and performance benchmarks, and the risks associated with the preferred supply base selection.
3. Encourage and coordinate early supplier involvement in highly technical and/or contractually complex new products parts design using the suppliers? expertise to optimize quality and producibility.
4. Work independently to develop and apply a strategic commodity plan, in order to define a preferred supplier base for highly technical and/or contractually complex commodities.
5. Develop Lam?s procurement and inventory control strategy (e.g., JIT, Kanban, min/max). Lead Purchasing team to assist in the research, development, and implementation of solutions to supply issues.
6. Represent Procurement on a cross-functional strategic commodity team (CT) that focuses on strategic supply challenges, and to ensure internal/external customer needs are satisfied.
7. Maintain current knowledge on relevant trends by personal contact, industry reports, trade journals, etc.

 

Qualifications:

Fluent in Korean.
Minimum Education-
BS in engineering discipline is a must. MBA and C.P.M. desirable. Excellent program management, presentation and technical skills.

Minimum Experience-
5 + years applicable experience. Familiarity with semiconductor or high-technology supply management practices, standards and organizations. Experience in machining highly desired. Proven ability to gain partnerships and excel on a cross-functional team with product, manufacturing, quality and reliability engineers as well as procurement, finance, and product support. May require up to 20% travel.
