Job Title:  Warehouse Supervisor

Supervisor:  Warehouse Manager

General Job Summary:

Supervises warehouse activities.  Ensures receipt, coordination, & safety of goods coming through warehouse.  Ensures that orders arrive & are dispatched on time to the appropriate destination & in the expected quantities in a safe, reliable manner, under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager.

Essential Job Functions:

? Responsible for maintenance of inventory in warehouse.

? Manage receiving, shipping, warehousing, & internal transfer of product according to daily orders.

? Establish operations procedures & conduct employee training, as needed.

? Ensure the safe operation of all material handling equipment.

? Coordinate & conduct cycle counts & physical inventories.

? Focus on overall efficiency of warehouse operations & provide solutions to facilitate inventory accuracy, safety & cost reductions.



? Issues written & oral instructions.



? Must understand, follow, & enforce all established policies, procedures, & safety rules.

? Must have the ability to interface diplomatically with other employees & the public.

Competencies/Qualifications:

Knowledge:

? Computer skills in Microsoft Word & Excel.

? Knowledge of OSHA regulations as related to warehouse operations.

? Excellent oral & written communication skills.

Knowledge of warehouse computer software.

Experience:

? 2-4 Years of warehouse management.

Experience in managing performance evaluation & corrective action process is essential.Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

 

Licenses/Certifications:

Must possess forklift certification.

 Machinery/Equipment: Computer, telephone, & other standard office equipment, such as copiers & fax machines.

? Physical activities that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job include: standing; walking; sitting; climbing; stooping & crouching; kneeling; reaching; pushing; pulling; grasping; talking; lifting; reading; seeing; & hearing.

? May be required to occasionally lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds & maneuver 100 pounds.

? Must be willing & able to tolerate working on uneven work surfaces.

? Must be willing & able to tolerate working in confined spaces.

? Worker may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as hardhat, safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, & other protective gear required to perform job duties.

? Worker will be required to work in warehouse environment that may include silica dust, dirt, & oily surfaces.

Regular work hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Hours are determined by management & may vary during outages & heavy demand periods.  Work on holidays, weekends, & nights may be required.
