DC Power Technician

Position Title:  DC POWER TECHNICIAN Department Name:  Operations

Primary Responsibilities

 

?  This position contributes to MaeTec Power, Inc.?s success by participating on our technical team through all aspects of company projects, primarily performed on a customer?s job site.

 Essential Job Functions

 

? Assist with the monitoring and execution of engineering, installation, service, and maintenance projects

? Complete projects within budget and time commitments

? Execute project plans, deliverables and overall implementation

? Update and maintain a schedule of project events, ensure necessary materials are available, obtain documents, remove roadblocks that may prevent an on-time completion, and ensure overall progression of projects

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

?  Knowledgeable of different power systems and basic DC power theory

?  Power plant installation experience

?  Familiar with installing BDFBs, batteries, and rectifiers

?  Experience running and lacing DC power cables

?  Must have solid organizational and time management skills

?  Able to work independently and in a team environment

?  Willing and able to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity; demonstrates flexibility

?  High level of self initiative

?  Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision

?  Ability to lift up to 120 pounds

?  Ability to travel extensively overnight, more than 80% of time

?  Possess a valid driver?s license

?  Supervisory experience preferred

 Education and Experience

 

? Experience in DC power, UPS systems and/or related field

? Level 1 thru 4 installation

? Computer experience: Visio; AutoCad, Outlook; Excel; Databases

? Certification from major DC Power manufacturers and/or UPS manufacturers preferred
