Director of Business & Market Development

Our client’s purpose is to improve people's lives by giving them the ability to communicate better than ever before.  They currently have more than 5 million subscribers across private residence and small business.  At this time, we are exclusively recruiting for a Director of Business & Market Development (DBMD) to be located in Pasadena, CA. 

 

The primary responsibility for the DBMD is the local business management in cites where the company operates broadband networks.  Particular responsibilities include:

? Manage team of Market Managers and represent the company as the primary point of contact for each location.

? Ensure that all activities meet all municipal requirements for quality, health, safety and ethics.

? Interact with city departments to facilitate ongoing operations between city personnel and internal operations and subcontractors and/or vendor teams.

? Advise the Marketing Director of opportunities and provide recommendations for sponsorship and participation levels in events/adverting/programs with the municipality as well as local business groups.

? Build relationship with local communities and promote product awareness establishing local market connections and generate marketing opportunities at the ?grass roots? level.

? Limited budget responsibilities.

 

The ideal candidate:

? Undergraduate degree required; MBA preferred.

? 10 ? 15 years relevant experience in BD or Sales. 

? Articulate communication skills; written and oral.
