LMC Supervisor

Overall Shift responsibility in the Local Management Center (LMC), with regards to ensuring process flow, proper escalation, LMC functionality, and interpersonal issues. The LMC is a 24/7/365 operation, including holidays. Manage Network Status Specialists who are tracking alarm notifications in the region. Assist with alarm collection and correlation during busy periods. Train and assist all staff to promote their understanding of CATV technology and troubleshooting techniques. Ensure proper ticketing procedures are followed and that all updates are occurring in a timely manner - Escalate out of the LMC if necessary. Responsibility to review remedy tickets' content, and close them. Manage the remote power supply battery testing procedures. Provide high-level technical support on all outage related issues. Review daily, weekly, and monthly reports for outages, trending, power supply testing, analyze trends and suggest courses of action. Review NMC operating procedures and work with Manager to modify as necessary. May be required to be on-call or back up other Network Status Supervisors. Continuously learn all cable network systems, distribution technology, and LMC software tool-sets. Perform other duties as assigned. Supervise LMC technicians on daily basis. Act as escalation support to the team. Provide timely performance reporting to team members. Be responsible for QA on team members. Be liaison to outside entities we interface with (WNOC, LNS, PG&E, etc.) Assist in training of team members on the different tools and systems in use at the LMC. Responsible for overseeing and maintaining accuracy of daily outage reporting. Provide coaching and assistance to LMC Technicians to achieve LMC and Company prescribed goals. Be responsible for team members accuracy of reporting into MTOR an TOR.

Qualifications
High School Diploma plus 4 years technical school or the recognized equivalent in work experience.
At least 2 years experience in a supervisory role. Cisco Certifications, MicroSoft Certifications preferred. Must be able to work independently with little supervision. Must possess excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills. Must be proficient in the use of Network and RF test equipment. Must have demonstrated expertise in CATV architecture and Data technology. Must understand a majority of the following technologies: TCP/IP, Ethernet, ATM, SNMP, FTP, PcAnywhere, Spectrum, Remedy, RF Amplification and Modulation, Satellite, Video, Audio, SIP, VoIP, Digital Video. Must have demonstrated troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly diagnose outage conditions. Ability to read and comprehend network drawings / system design prints. Must be proficient with he operation of PC's and various software suites. Must be able to Multi-Task. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including rotating weekend shifts. Must have valid Drivers license in good standing. 3-5 years experience in progressive management positions. Proven ability to motivate people and teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Experience in an engineering/construction environment. The LMC is a 24/7/365 operation, including holidays.
