Lead WAN Engineer / Internet Security Specialist

Atlas Broadband is in need of a WAN Engineer with Pre-Sales Experience, to lead a tactical team of 3 WAN Specialists. Candidates must have knowledge of wide area networking and firewalls.

 

  1. Understanding of different site environments a must.

2.  Total authority and responsibility to run technical department according to the principles described in the book, ?Raving Fans?.

3.  Total authority and responsibility for the overall performance and teamwork of the technical services department.

4.  Responsible for excellence and initiative of technical department.

5.  Responsible for continuing expertise in Firewalls, layer 2 and 3 VPN, and secure remote access solutions.

6.  Provide sales engineering support and documentation to sales staff when necessary.

7.  Provide support to WAN (T1& DSL) locations on a variety of connectivity related issues.

8.  Identify, research, and resolve WAN and LAN technical problems.

9.  Respond to telephone calls, emails, and in house requests for technical support.

10. Track and monitor all open issues and requests to insure timely resolutions and constant documented customer contact.

11.  Continue to be familiar with a wide variety of concepts, practices and procedures.

12.  Perform a variety of complicated Firewall related tasks.

13.  Plan, track, communicate with others, and insure projects are complete by end date and all supporting documentation is organized and included in project folder.

14.  Dept. complete projects by end date.

15.  Massive degree of creativity, latitude and disciplined thought are expected and necessary.

16.  Manage two,  level  two technicians.
