Operations Implementation Manager

Public Communications Services, located in West Los Angeles, is a leader in finding innovative solutions to meet telecommunications' customers? needs. We don't sell products - we provide solutions, tailored to the needs of the customer through systems integration. We deal primarily with government entities to implement solutions for inmate telecommunications systems consisting of owning, operating, servicing, and maintaining a system of automated operator switches and telephones.

 

1.  Responsible for hiring, training, mentoring and managing of Senior Project Manager, Project Manager, Jr. Project Manager and Project Coordinator positions.

 

2.Perform analysis of call trends and make recommendations for system optimization.

 

3.Use creative problem solving to make recommendations regarding cost saving or revenue increasing initiatives.

 

4.Attend Request For Proposal (RFP) meetings, collaborating with the sales team to determine if an RFP is worth pursuing by analyzing the time and cost involved in providing and servicing the system mandated by the RFP.

 

5.Develop/engineer a rough draft of the total equipment needed for each RFP response.

 

6.Manage the Coordination of installation activity and project completion dates/times with subordinates and contracted facilities; organize and delegate installation duties among team members, setting project objectives, priorities, and deliverables.

 

7. Manage/Supervise and oversee technicians with onsite hardware and software construction and installation.

 

8. Provide onsite and/or remote hardware and software upgrades when facility equipment reaches obsolescence.

 

BA/BS degree plus 5-7 years of experience in a telecommunications setting, 3 of which must be in a supervisory capacity.  Expertise needed in MS Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, Explorer, VISIO and DOS.  Able to calculate figures and amounts, compute rate and ratio, and draw graphs and schematics. Ability to design and implement intermediate to advance level network solutions and provide guidance for Project Managers.
