Project Manager

GENERAL PURPOSE

 

The basic function of this position is to report to the Manager of Client Services to oversee the technical application design, construction and implementation for assigned accounts and projects within budget.  This position is responsible for meeting or exceeding profitability targets on each project and ensuring client satisfaction.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Essential functions of the job are listed below.  Please note that other duties may also be assigned.

 Serves as a critical liaison between clients and SCI staff in ensuring appropriate resource allocation in delivering effective/cost-efficient execution of client projects.Project Manages mainly Avaya Systems/Services Implementations ? Avaya expertise a plus

 Collaborates with developers, quality assurance, production support, and account teams to provide technical direction on systems analysis, design, development, testing and deployment.

 Documents technical requirements, develops and oversees project plans and implements change control procedures.

 Ensures timely and effective delivery of the solution into production.

 Facilitates reviews, status meetings, hand-off and hand-back meetings.

 Participates in technical advisory roles as required. Interacts with customers at the technical level as required.

 Ensures effective handoff to operations for ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting. 

 Ensures an increased level of code reuse, and contributes to the growth and use of the knowledge library.

 Mentors associates and fosters a learning and growth environment.

 Ensures client satisfaction

 Performs other related duties as requested and required to accomplish the objectives of the position.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  The following are the minimum qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.  Please note that the minimum qualifications may vary based upon the department size and/or geographic location.

 

Knowledge:

 

? Equivalent of Bachelors Degree and 5-7+ years progressively responsible, related experience including applicable technical training.  Strong understanding of the telecom industry and excellent planning, organizing & verbal/written communication skills.

?  PMP Certificate helpful

 

?  Excellent computer (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) skills, Internet and contact database knowledge and abilities are required. MS Project skill preferred.

Must be able to see, hear, speak and write clearly in order to communicate with employees and/or other clients; manual dexterity required for occasional reaching and lifting of small objects, and operating office equipment. Must be able to lift, carry and load heavy bid package/drawing sets.  Driving from sites and the offices is required

 

Travels 10-20% as required to meet accountabilities
