Job Description:

 

Provides EPOS support for pump control Retail Technology terminals at our client?s retail outlets in the United States and Western Canada on 24X7 basis.

Expertise includes hardware, software, telecommunications and procedural operations for pump control EPOS terminals used at service stations, aviation sites, and lubricant service centers.

 

ESSENTIAL POSITION & FUNCTIONS:

 

Communicates technical ideas and concepts in clear understandable terms to retailers, vendors and other personnel. Utilizes functional terminal manuals, call tracking system and First Level Support tree. Must be able to work 24X7 rotating shifts.

 

Receives calls from various dealers and vendors seeking assistance with problems associated with Retail Technology pump control Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS) terminals, software, and station operational procedures.

 

Researches and resolves complex and chronic problems involving system failure of hardware, software, communication devices, printers, dispenser card readers, pumps controllers, data interface to back office systems, carwash, and tank level monitors.

 

Additionally, resolves complex issues involving Retail Technology and technical support.

 

Performs immediate problem determination and resolution of problems through verbal instructions.

 

Maintains initiative within predetermined procedures and works independently to consult with Team Leader, terminal analyst, terminal trainer, and various support organizations to quickly resolve inquiries and incidents.

 

Troubleshoots hardware, software and communications of EPOS terminals from service stations and aviation sites. Responsible for receiving and processing information needed to make quick and effective problem determination and resolution; also responsible to assist and direct dealers and others in Retail Technology ?pump? related functions.

 

Completes and maintains a log for ad hoc reporting on each call and updates our online information tracking system.
