Senior Designer - Girls 

Lollytogs, a leading childrenswear company, seeks to fill a designer position.

 

Senior Designer ? Girls 4-6X, 7-16



 

Reporting to ? Director of Design & Merchandising ? Lolly Fashion Division

 

The ?Senior Girls Designer ? Girls 4-6X, 7-16? is responsible for heading the design and line development for the French Toast product line.

The Senior Designer will work closely with the Director of Design & Merchandising and Division President in developing trends and direction, design product and oversee daily functioning of the Girls Design Team.

 

Scope of Daily Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

-  Research trends and color, seasonally

-  Design Girls line for French Toast

-  Oversee Design Assistants and daily functioning of the department including lab dips, tech packs, approvals and packages, etc.

-  Communicate daily with Overseas offices for proper execution of the line

-  Attend fit sessions and review specs with Technical Design team

-  Work with Production Team on salesman samples

-  Work with Sales and Merchandising on direction of the line, calendar and special projects

 

Key Skills

-  Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years design experience

-  Candidate must have a Bachelor?s degree, preferably in a fashion-related field

-  Candidate must be highly creative and understand the 4-6X & 7-16 girl

-  Candidate must be detail oriented and organized

-  Excellent Illustrator Skills

-  Capable of developing team members

-  Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.

-  Some travel required
