Director CAD Textile Design

Job Responsibilities: Director, Mens CAD Textile Design
Responsible for overall creative direction, project management, and administrative follow through for mens department.
Oversees department daily activities.
Works with Senior Management to create/revise department procedures.
Responsible for strategic planning for CAD area.
Continuously researches current trends in color and textiles techniques.
Coordinates workflow and provides direction to CAD staff.
Accountable for aesthetic direction of CAD Design team?s work.
Ensures that CAD studio meet seasonal deadlines and complete all CAD deliverables.
Selects, trains, motivates, and evaluates staff.
Fully responsible for ensuring that prints are consistent with market trends as well as business strategy; interprets concepts and fashion trends as it relates to market demands, company images, and business strategy.
Ensures that prints are shared and fully utilized across genders and age groups where possible.
Responsible for communicating with cross functional partners to address business initiative overlap and interaction.
Maintain team cohesion by organizing CAD Team meetings, critiques, and sharing exercises.
Oversees the creation and maintenance of seasonal color palettes.
Oversees the development and maintenance of an organized project identification system.
Oversees department on daily basis ensuring proper procedures for data and file maintenance, CAD storage, etc.
Identifies opportunities and makes recommendations for increasing workflow efficiencies and enhancing communication with business partners.
Oversees preparation of artwork packages that comply with production ready standards.
Oversees entire fabric and paper printing operations
Creates, manages and adheres to annual departmental budget.
