DELIVERY DRIVER CLASS B CDL

Position Summary:Able to operate one or more types of company vehicles according to safety standards. Directly interfaces with customers and may perform routine customer service and order entry duties, identifying opportunities for other or additional company products and services. Delivers products (water, salt, chemicals, filters, etc.) on a regularly scheduled basis to customers.

 

Essential Functions:Delivers/exchanges all types of coolers; bottled water; salt/chemicals as required. Maintains a safe and clean working environment. Operates vehicle in a safe manner. Maintain clean driving record. Provide outstanding customer service. Documents all deliveries in route book each day. Collects and documents receipt of money from customers and submits to manager daily. Completes all paperwork in a legible manner: delivery tickets, route book, vehicle safety log, etc. as required. Responsible for vehicle inspection/organization and customer keys on a daily basis. Maintain communication with the office throughout each day. Ability to operate carts, dollies, fork lifts, lift gates, hand trucks. Communicates in a positive manner with customers and maintains positive public relations for the company. Maintain inventory by ordering required products and equipment from main office. Follow DOT regulations including random drug and alcohol testing. Abides by all company policies. Wears the company uniform as required.

 

Requirements:Valid CDL class B driver?s license (air brakes). Professional delivery driver experience (6 months or more). Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively. Must be dependable, trustworthy, reliable and a self-starter. Job requires lifting, carrying or otherwise transporting products weighing 40 to 100 pounds.  A significant amount of time is typically spent walking, standing and climbing stairs.

 

Work Environment:Exposure to outdoor weather conditions year round. Work days are Monday through Friday.
