CORT Furniture Rental, the nation?s premier provider of quality furniture is looking for a qualified delivery driver candidate for our Charlotte, North Carolina Distribution Center.  CORT Furniture Rental is a division of CORT Business Services, a Berkshire Hathaway Company, with over 100 locations nationwide.

 

Delivery Driver Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

? Check furniture to ensure acceptable condition for delivery prior to loading trucks;

? Accurately load truck, checking items against lease agreement;

? Deliver and install furniture in a safe manner and within agreed upon time frame;

? Pickup furniture at lease end;

? Perform truck maintenance to ensure safe delivery vehicle;

? Work in a manner that is safe for self, co-workers, customers, and product;

? Other duties as assigned.

 

Delivery Driver Qualifications:

Candidates should have:

? at least 1 year of related service industry driving/delivery experience (example: driving/delivery of furniture, large appliance, or other similar delivery experience);

? ability to speak English;

? proof of identification and employment eligibility;

? a clean MVR

? DOT Certification;

? ability to pass agility test, pre-employment drug screen, and background check.;

? ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or more up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or more than 100 pounds.
