Dispatcher (Router for delivery trucks)

US Foodservice is one of the nation's largest food distribution company's.  We supply all food and non-food items to customers in the food industry including hospitals, hospitality, schools, restaurants and similar businesses.  We are seeking a dispatcher to work at our facility in Phoenix (43rd Ave and Buckeye Road)

 

The incumbent?s primary focus is to dispatch and monitor routes using Roadnet software.  Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

 

? Update routes to meet customer demand

? Update customer information in Roadnet and Tandem systems

? Monitoring D.O.T. Adherence, driver hours of service etc.

? Manage the scheduling of drivers and equipment

? Maintain schedule master copies with ongoing changes

? Analyze schedules and service times for cost control

? Assist in the development of long term resolution to service related issues

? Maximize system potential to gain routing efficiencies on a daily basis

 

Experience Required (Minimum Needed):

 

? High school diploma or equivalent

? 2 years or more experience in the same or a similar field preferred

? Knowledge of D.O.T. rules and regulations

? Excellent analytical thinking and problem solving skills

? High performance orientation; sense of urgency about work; constantly striving to reach new levels of performance

? Superior organization skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively

? Proficiency with MS Office applications to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook

? Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
