Sanitation Supervisor

Progressive Logistics Services (PLS), a third party warehouse services provider, is seeking a Sanitation Supervisor for our operation in the Anniston, Alabama area. PLS provides truck unloading services as well as Warehouse Sanitation for our customer's grocery warehouse facility. This is primarily a third shift position. Sanitation operates seven (7) days; the Supervisor?s schedule may weekly vary based upon operational needs. The normal work week is five (5) days.  

We are seeking a candidate who will provide leadership and direction with respect and dignity to our diversified workforce; there are 10 + associates on the Sanitation Team. Candidates with successful experience in warehouse sanitation; knowledge of and proper use of cleaning chemicals, a positive customer service approach and experience with warehouse floor scrubbers and sweepers will be given positive consideration.

 

Additional position requirements include:

- efficient workforce scheduling and labor controls

- provide training /development for sanitation associates

- assure safe work practices and accident prevention

- assure accurate and timely operational reports

- maintain a positive relationship with facility operations management

- manage sanitation operation including general warehouse clean-up, unloading of trucks containing empty pallets, ordering of cleaning supplies and sorting of reclaim grocery products for recycling
