Freight Operations Supervisor

 

Major LTL transportation company is looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor to manage its Salinas, CA area sub-station.  Duties are to assign and supervise the work of drivers, prepare and plan for daily utilization of resources to ensure an consistent and efficient operation, coach, train and educate the workforce, ensure proper use of dock and road equipment, communicate with customer service, customers, planners, suppliers and vendors, support a company safety program and other duties as assigned. 

 

Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age; minimum three years experience leading and supervising in an industrial setting; excellent leadership, planning verbal and written communication skills; be willing to work a non-traditional schedule; and possess computer/data entry skills

 

We prefer a college degree and experience supervising a pick up and delivery operation.

 

Starting salary of $50,000 per year depending upon experience plus a full benefit package that includes medical, dental, vision plan, company paid retirement and 401K.
