Accounts Receivable Coordinator

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE COORDINATOR

 

 

Accounts Receivable Coordinator for  Mid-size and Mom & Pop accounts with a focus on monitoring business activities related to customers in these regions. Primary objectives are to ensure the accuracy of each customer?s financial data, to collect all receivables promptly and to ensure that all credit-related issues of these accounts are addressed and resolved.

 

General duties include new customer set-up and maintenance, collection efforts, research and reconciliation of outstanding charge backs, release of daily customer orders and general monitoring of accounts. Maintain documentation for daily deposits and cash applications.

 

JOB DUTIES:

 

Collections:  Maintaining customer collections based on payment terms and resolve payment discrepancies on delinquent accounts.  

 

Account monitoring: Review daily invoice and charge back postings on assigned customer?s accounts and document, research, and process any claims.

 

Customer Service: Perform customer service duties for both the external and internal customers.  This includes working closely with Accounts Payable departments, Shipping Companies, Distribution Centers, Routing and Traffic, Post Audit, Third Party Post Audit, Vendor Billing, etc. as well as internal Customer Service Representatives, Sales Managers and brokers to manage accounts and related expenses.

 

Charge back resolution: Research, documentation and either disputing invalid or processing of valid customer deductions through credit note generation.

 

Cash Application: Thorough review and system application of customer payments and deductions. Deductions must be identified by type as well as by reference number. Maintain proper documentation to ensure timely processing of credit requests.
